Candidates apply with a 60-second video; recruiters discover them by scrolling a feed. Built, shipped and operated end to end by DNA Solutions, live on the App Store and Google Play.

A CV says very little about the person behind it. It is a document built once, sent everywhere, and the parts that actually decide a hire, how someone speaks, what motivates them, how they come across, never fit on the page. Candidates who do try to personalise every application spend hours rewriting the same two pages for each job, with no way of knowing whether anyone read them.
On the recruiter side the format is just as costly. Applications arrive as emails with attachments; each one has to be opened, downloaded and skimmed, and most of them look alike. Applicant tracking systems were meant to absorb that volume, but they filter on keywords, so people are ruled out before a human ever sees them. Both sides lose the same thing: a fast, human read on whether there is a fit.
DNA Solutions set out to build and operate a consumer product that attacks the format itself, and to take it all the way to the public app stores.
Video instead of a document. A candidate creates a profile in about five minutes, then records a 60-second video in one shot inside the app, or edits their best takes elsewhere and imports the result. Sixty seconds of someone talking carries what a CV cannot: tone, energy, motivation, the way they explain what they do. It is also the same effort for every job, so personalising an application stops being a rewriting exercise.
A feed instead of an inbox. Recruiters review candidates by scrolling videos, the way they scroll a social feed. Swiping is the fastest interface there is for triage: seconds per candidate, no attachment to open, an immediate yes or no. The same review time covers many more candidates, and every application is watched by a person rather than screened out by software.
A video that keeps applying. Once published, the video does not sit in a folder. A matching engine surfaces it in the feed of recruiters in the relevant field for weeks, so a single recording keeps working long after the candidate stopped looking at job boards. A shareable QR code extends the product beyond the app: candidates add it to a classic CV and a recruiter watches the video in the browser without installing anything.
Under the hood, DNA Solutions delivered the full chain: a single React Native and Expo codebase shipping to both iOS and Android with over-the-air updates, phone-based OTP authentication on AWS Cognito, video storage and delivery through S3 and CloudFront with a media pipeline converting uploads to adaptive streaming, and a microservices backend in NestJS.
The AI layer, speech-to-text profile enrichment and semantic candidate-role matching, is covered in the two case studies linked below. The app is free for job seekers, with all features included; the business model sits on the company side.
